Just switched from 1020 to 1520. To make up for lack of space I bought a 64gb microsd and have been saving music, pics, etc to it.

I have approx. 2gb of music so far on the card. Today I was looking at storage check and it's showing the music as taking space on the internal memory instead of the sdcard showing an incorrect amount of free memory.

I take it as an error, but will it prevent me from downloading apps as I add more music to my card? Is this a known issue?

The issue is my apps show Xbox Music as taking 2.2 GB. 2+ gb is on my SD card, but showing as being on internal memory. Also, the phone is less than a week old and has 900MB in the "Other". What encompasses items in the "Other" folder?

Also, the music was added after I inserted my memory card with settings in place to save there by default.

Soft reset did not work. I'm going to try powering it off, remove the memory card, then power it on to see how it reads things. I'll put the card back in afterwards.

Ok, the issue is the Xbox Music App (not Music+Video App). Xbox music puts all music on internal linked to the app and it doesnt show up in the music folder on the phone. Removing the music app from my phone cleared up all the space. I believe if I download directly from the store instead it puts it on the SD card, but am not going to dink around and just use the music+video app that is installed by default.

When I synced via iTunes about 500 MB of 6GB of music was written to internal memory rather than SD which I had selected as the destination. I manually deleted the songs via the Xbox app and resynced which solved the problem.
