1520 or 1020?

I've got both right now and I can really tell the speed difference between the 2. The snapdragon 800 is a lot faster when using apps and the 1080p screen makes the text a lot sharper. My 1520 also has a lot better battery than my 1020, even with the 1020 camera grip.

Your 1520 has a much bigger battery and the Snap 800 is more efficient. Also, the SoC doesn't have to deal with a 41Mpix sensor and all..

I got a 1520, and a relative got a 1020.I really love the huge screen on the 1020, and like that it has a much more future-proof CPU.BUT...The camera on the 1520 just simply does not compare at all to the 1020. It's really much more like the camera on my 920 that it is on the 1020.The xenon flash on the 1020 makes a HUGE difference when taking pictures of family in restaurants or outdoors at night, for example. The 1020 pics look like real P&S camera pics, while the 1520 photos still look like smartphone pictures.I am not impressed with the video quality of the 1520 - I'm not even sure it is as good as the 920 video quality. The FEATURE CRIPPLING of the 1520 by AT&T pains me every day. 16GB of storage is simply not enough, and I cannot store more than a handful of games, for example, despite the beautiful screen and fast CPU really making this device much better for some games. The lack of Qi on the AT&T 1520 also bothers me, as I really loved that feature of the 920.Personally, it's do you want the large size screen or do you want the best possible camera. That's how you make your choice.Regardless, I would NOT get the 1520 until AT&T releases the 32GB version - you'll be sorry if you don't!

I'm afraid I'll have to agree with you that the 1520 is not as good as the 920 when it comes to indoor/night photography as well as video in low light. I compared both phones side by side and the 1520 produced grainier, darker images.

In the 1520's defense, it does take crisper, more vibrant photos outdoors in bright light.

I hope a software fix can overcome these issues.

The 920 has an f2 aperture (bigger opening allowing more light) while the 1520 has a smaller f2.4 aperture. I wonder how Nokia chooses their camera hardware specs and if they could explain their thinking in choosing these different setups.
