16+5 mp photos on stock camera

Hi! Do I need Nokia camera to take the hi res photos or does the Microsoft camera take them too??

The Microsoft camera only takes 5MP, you need to use Nokia Camera.

But the 5MP you get from the MS camera is the oversampled purview image, right? Or does that only happen when using the Nokia camera?

No the 5MP pic from MS Camera is not oversampled in the way the Nokia Camera 5MP is. AAWP described it as a 5MP "scrape" of the sensor... The Nokia Camera 5MP will be a better quality image than he MS version.
