I've purchased a Surface Studio and am waiting for delivery next year. I know it will play 4K video, but just how does one get 4K video to it to play back? Netflix on Edge is the only way I can think of. My Xbox One S will play 4K BluRay, but there is no way I know of to get that output to a Surface Studio. Any ideas?

Take 4K video on a phone? Most top-of-the-line phones from the past couple years should be 4K capture-capable.

Add action cams with 4k capabilities to that list, not to mention pro and semi-pro cams of all sorts.

Youtube also have "testtube" with 4k uploads. So you'll soon be able to watch 4k video on there.

Surface Studio will not support Netflix 4K since it uses the 6th generation processor. Netflix 4K requires 7th generation processor which supports HEVC 10 bit encoding.

Amazon video, Hulu, YouTube all have some 4K content, though not much. I think it will be soon when there will be affordable external 4k bluray disc players that you can buy and plug into the usb3 slot.
