$500 for Replacement vs Buying New SB3

I have the 13"SB2 with 512tb 16gb ram, and it started to have warping issues causing the book to not close magnetically.

Inquired about replacement and they told me $500 to replace it.

Debating on whether to get this or use that money on a new SB3 and maybe sell this unit. I don't know how much it would go for with this slight warp issue. (see my other thread).

Thoughts?

I would pay the $500 and then, once the replacement arrives, sell it for around $900 and consider ditching the format for another make or go for the SB3 with extended warranty.

A SB2 will sell for more than $500.

I ended up selling it for $900 without replacing it and getting the SB3.
