Initial thoughts? Pretty zippy. Dullish screen when directly compared to my 8x. Screen is pretty small but the unit is feather light. Overall I like it. Nokia apps are a pleasant surprise coming from HTC.

Worried the white case will get horribly dirty from holding it...next step see if a 520 back fits

Got mine as well. It was a gift for a family member, so I set it up for them. My impression: of course the materials are cheaper, but I bought cases, and when u have it on, you can't tell what the material is made from! It reminds me of the Zte muve music but sturdier and higher end (just same size, feeling, and color.) Honestly, I don't think anyone would believe that this phone was $150 brand new (retail...not eBay, Craigslist, etc.!) Its very fluid and gets the job done so far...only time will tell how it holds up. (Side note: at least no dust can get in the ffc, because there is none lol!)

Bottom line is I love it, and I hope that the recipient does too!

I bought a pack of 4 silicone matte cases- pink/red, blue, black, clear/ white for only $8.99. They should be here soon, and I plan to give them to the person who received the phone as a gift, because they aren't the best when it comes to protecting their phone.

More updates: it gets hot quick. The screen ppi difference is of course noticable for some icons and smaller fonts. I actually really like the form factor. No lags or anything yet

Well, if I didn't have a 620, I would've gotten a 520 :)
Your experiences matched my suspicions though. This is a low quality (but still respectable) device, especially for its $150 price (it's ~$190 here in the Philippines, but that's after taxes)

I try my best not to rag on other phones but it does have the same size screen as the iPhone 5 ;)

I'll get the screenshot in the morning. While the screen quality is absolutely and noticeably weaker than the HTC 8x, the device seems equally as snappy and frankly is easier to handle because its so lightweight.

Its well worth the price point

Annoyance: unlike my 8x the icons at the bottom don't light up which is really aggravating in the dark
