630 spare battery question

Is the BL-5H a new battery design? Has it been used before in other devices? Would any other batteries physically fit?

Look for batteries that match that name, its easiest. Nothing else will fit without potential dangerous modification and/or not fitting properly.

A review site somewhere mentioned the 630's batteries are much harder to find than, say the 520's.
