640XL delivered with glossy white cover

Just got a 640XL delivered.
Expected a matte white cover but the unboxing revealed a slippery high gloss version, the horror. :crying:



Shouldnt it be a matte, easy to grip soft touch cover on these?

Even the seller expected them to be matte so not sure whats going on at Microsoft?

There are different types of covers gloss and matte for both 640 and 640XL. You can always find a replacement cover for cheap on eBay or AliExpress.com.

Well, I think they just did the same what they had done for 730/735.

When L730 and L735 were launched, L730 supposed to have a glossy back cover unlike 735 (per their initial reveal), but I received L730 with Matte cover

Mine turned up this morning and it has a glossy white finish as well. Pretty annoying as I really wanted the Matte finish. Know if we can get a replacement cover anywhere easily?

However, im holding out for the CC-3090 flip cover, hopefully it will offer wireless charging support.

I want someone to make a after market Green back cover. That would be sick. Until then i guess its the ugly white. I m going naked on this phone, my main motivation to buy a cheap phone.

Yes, thats that is the case but at the time of writing that post some 2? months ago a large official reseller in Scandinavia falsely advertised it as a wireless charging cover.
