735 - seriously no news yet?

This is getting ridiculous. I'm dying for some news on the release.

My 928 broke two weeks ago so I'm using a spare iPhone 4. Do I pick up a used 822 or 928 or will the 735 come out immediately after I do?

I have two upgrades available. My sister who has held onto her 822 that I convinced her to buy broke last night and she has an upgrade available. We're both ready to upgrade, to give Verizon and MS our money.

Is there no one that works for Verizon in here that has any insight? Next week? 3 weeks from now? This summer? Never?

Saw a deal for a 530 for $20 at Best Buy Doesn't help in your case, but it's cheap and can hold you over? (I'd go for the 635 tho)

Unfortunately it won't work on Verizon. Even the already released 735 won't work on Verizon. It has to be hardware specific for Verizon.

I haven't heard much, I have no idea what to expect.

I'd try repairing that 928 or getting an Icon secondhand or maybe an ATIV SE or HTC One M8 for Windows if they carry that. (using your upgrade for something worth more to sell perhaps? Like an iPhone 6?)

It's actually cheaper to buy a used 928 than to get it repaired. . The icon is a little too pricey used especially vs the 928 which I think I like better anyways.

This is that waiting period I'm standing in. Spend $80 on a used 928 today then have Verizon announce next week that the 735 is coming out for only $50 on contract! I suppose I could sell the 928 or keep it as a spare.

Just annoying that they won't say anything. Verizon is frustrating.

I'm not a Verizon customer, but I hear ya. I hope they get it soon. It's an outstanding device (I'm using the RM-1039 unlocked on T-Mobile).

You can buy like-new 928's for around 130 bucks on Ebay. I personally own a black and white one. Buy one of those to hold you over.

Alternatively, you can buy either an ICON or ATIVE SE for around 200 bucks. Why not just invest in a flagship phone?

Yeah, I have a few 928s on eBay I'm watching. Just haven't pulled the trigger on one yet. I have 2 upgrades to use and thought maybe if the 735 came cheaper on contract I could save some on the front end and use a new device for a bit before this fall's flagships show up.

There is speculation that the Lumia 735 will release on June 11th. I would rate the credibility as being a 9/10~ as the LG Lancet had a VERY QUIET roll out on Verizon. There was no announcement and the only indication was a brief stint on the wireless website.

Regardless...

I would still highly recommend the Lumia 928 (I absolutely love that phone) or Lumia Icon (another fantastic phone). I currently own 2 928's and 2 icons and will probably pick up a Lumia 735 for the 4.7in screen form factor.
