8.1 update error 8007000d and sim slot error

Hi all,

I have a Lumia 1320. Yesterday I tried to update my phone to 8.1. There was an error. I restarted the phone and tried to update the second time, it again said download complete and installation could not be opened, error 8007000d.
Now my phone is switching on, but it is not reading my sim. I have a voda sim, Delhi network.
I tried my sim on a friend's device, it didnt work.

Please suggest what should I do? Go to the Vodafone store for a new sim? If yes, then okay but what about the error that I am getting while updating the phone to 8.1?

I've updated my device to 8.1 initially, but not now after recent updates I'm stuck on 2G; I used to get 3G without issue before. After a hard reset the 3G is back.

Well I figured out the solution myself as nobody suggested anything!!!!!!!! i reinstalled the already present firmware via Nokia recovery tool, connected my device to wi-fi and all the updates went through smoothly !!!!!!!! Now my phone is on 8.1............
