The latest update of the beta version featured the possibility to protect archives using the Windows Hello and Microsoft Passport technologies.
The possibility to protect archives using WIndows Hello and Microsoft Passport is available for 7z archives only.
In order to check this functionality in action, you need to do the following:
1. Update to 8 Zip Beta
2. Create an archive in the 7z format
3. Enable encryption in the archive's settings
4. Enable the use of Windows Hello
Send your LiveID to info [at] finebits.com and you will be registered as a beta-tester of our application in Windows Store.
Please send All your comments and suggestions to info [at] finebits.com
When registered as beta-tester you will get a chance to get the most recent version of the application before everyone for free.
