Are all the other Windows Phones out there getting the 8107 update? I'm not really concerned about this update in particular, but I'm hoping Verizon doesn't stop allowing software updates for the Trophy.
@Gamma-Yes, apparently other vendors and carriers are getting this update. For me it really helped with the disappearing KB issue. It's non-existent for me now which is great!

@Space, I just went to the website and clicked on the "Spanish" link and it d/l the lang pack. If for some reason you can't d/l it. Here's the link:
http://download.windowsupdate.com/m..._97df86b81a40df06bb2b15c6739e2ee772e53bbf.cab

Thanks for the link. I'll try the update later this week, but do have one more question about these updates.

I'm currently on 7720.68 (the latest official Verizon one), and I know of two updates past this one - 7740 and 8107. If I apply 8107 will that bring along whatever is in 7740, i.e., are these updates cumulative like say the motherboard firmware upgrades? Or should I first go from 7720 to 7740 and then to 8107?

In the walkthrough posted earlier, you download the incremental cab files, the 7720->7740, and the 7740->8107, (and the language packs, standard would be the English and Spanish ones) and the cab sender program loads them both in order, though it's just one button push for you.

Thanks to everyone for their help on the upgrade questions. I just upgraded my Trophy to 8107 using the instructions posted, and it was a painless process. A quick note though - the instructions I was following pointed to Megaupload to download "WP7 CAB Update Sender"; however, as we all know Megaupload is gone, so I downloaded it from this page: Download WP7 Update Cab Sender for HTC HD2.

Didn't get a notice on the phone, but when I connected it to Zune I got the Update notification. Took about an hour for all backup and update processes to complete. Finished with no problems at all. Phone is working great and I'll be interested in seeing the keyboard fix in action, etc. :D

Manually updated to 8107 a couple of months ago. Friday, I got the notice about the update. Connected it to Zune today and it is updating on its own now. Nice! We'll see what happens.

Seems to have worked. My About, reads the same as the version that Vzw says is the latest. Now as to WHAT it is supposed to have done, does anyone know what they actually mean???

Don't leave us hanging, tell us more! Or more specifically how!

Same process as gone over earlier in this thread. Same thread at XDA has the cab links direct from MS in it near the end. There were 2 updates and 2 language packs each for an intermediate (8112 I think) update and then 8773. Used the upload batch tool. All I did was swap in the new files, dragged the old 7740/8107 update files out for safe keeping, and then ran it on my old test phone, and then my current one.

So far no problems, made a test call, text message, wifi browsing working etc...

If I would have thought about it I would have known to go back through this thread. Thanks for sharing the info though.

So you need in total 8 files downloaded, just as a reminder to anyone trying this. And it is of course, a minor update so you probably won't be missing much if you wait.

psiu_glen,

Can you confirm the language pack files that are needed for the 8112 and 8773 updates?

Thank You Very Much!
