822 alarm vs HTC Trophy?

Okay, so is it me or does the alarm on the 822 not start out soft and gradually increase in volume? I hope it's not just me because I recall alarm #5 being much more pleasant to wake up to on the Trophy that it has been on the 822. help prove I'm not insane?

It's not quite as gradual it seems, but as far as I can tell it does get louder as it goes on.

I was jolted awake by the alarm, I assumed it would be gradual like on my old Trophy as well.
Not sure how to fix it other than to make an mp3 specifically for an alarm that gradually increases.

But yeah, that feature definitely needs to come back.
