Whose excited? well i am the Lumia 925 is shipping soon 12 - 16 june so by looking at those dates we might be getting our updates at end of june

GDR2 (General Distribution Release) better known as a MS WP OS update. We're on the second one now, which is where the 2 comes from. They're generally small revisions to the OS. This one isn't looking too special.

The Amber update is Nokia's. It's thought that on Nokia phones GDR2 and Amber may be issued at the same time. The Amber update brings the better smart camera technology to all Nokia phones.

There are people confusing the GDR2 and Amber updates and have a tendency to think of them as being the same. However GDRs are MS and all phones will get it where with Amber only Nokia phones will get that.

I'd expect the updates to start rolling out somewhere in July but most likely August and be made available to AT&T customers first (continuing the current trend of course). Then a few more months down the line it will be made available to those of us who were naive enough to think that our unbranded, SIM free, models would be first in line for updates.

According Australia’s Telstra, the expected approval date for the update (at least for the Nokia Lumia 920) is July 8, followed by the Lumia 520, HTC 8X and HTC 8S a week later.

what about the bug fixes ? I faced following problems with 720 (not sure if others also faced something similar)
1. Sometimes the audio volume gets locked to any particular level. It works good only after I restart the device.
2. Sometimes the screen gets locked/unresponsive. It works only if I press the lock screen button and then remove lock screen.
any help...plz

Is the screen thing freezing only when you have the phone charging? It happens me to but only when charging from the wall
