925 overheating for simple tasks

Even for basic things like using kik or lightly checking instagram/ Windows central, my 925 heats up alot. Notice, it is light/light-medium use, and shouldn't get this hot. I performed a hard reset earlier today, but didn't solve the problem. Any ideas?

My Lumia 925 heats up with simple tasks too. This is primarily due to the poor choice of hardware used in the device. The Qualcomm S4 Plus has performance in mind, but with the compromise of excessive heat output and power consumption. The heat won't hurt anything, but a case will make it feel better to hold.

The only time I've ever experienced significant warmth - it's not "overheating" if it continues to work - is running GPS. Real GPS, not just location services which uses tower triangulation and known wifi addresses. Some apps using GPS don't seem to let go of the GPS even after closing. Well, the app isn't using it anymore but the phone is.
