925 worth the upgrade?

My contract with ATT will be up soon and I am thinking of switching over to TMobile. I basically considering 3 options right now and want some advice.
1. Wait till 920 expire in a few months and hopefully ATT will unlock it, then bring it over. This is the simplest solution, assume ATT will unlock the phone.
2. Forget the ATT 920 and just switch to TMobile and buying a 925. In this case is a 925 worth the $480 upgrade? If I manage to get my 920 unlock I may be able to sale it for $150. So best case is still a $330 USD upgrade.
3. Forget WP completely and switch over to TMobile and to Android phone. Considering this because TMobile is mainly an Android and iPhone house. My dislike of ATT kind of out weight my love of my WP. I would love to stay on WP, but I don't think TMobile have any major plan to stay on the WP bandwagon.

Thanks in advance.

I would consider android, mostly because there is a lot more features. If you like wp8, I would wait for a quad core and 2gb of RAM , because the 925 is only a slim version with optical stabilizator , but without the wireless changing. Btw the antenna on the 925 is pretty bad.

The NL925 is a wonder device, it's elegant & feels premium. I have all the apps I need which are of high quality & the OS will continue to evolve ( My first windows phone was the NL 920 which I loved & passed on to my wife. I have seen the apps and OS grow which makes me very excited about it's future). Here in Jamaica, iPhones & Samsungs are predominant but my NL925 turns heads followed by questions; I'm now seeing quite a few Nokia Lumias here now which suggest the market of a great product is growing. I have no antenna issues & run 4G everyday comfortably.

I've been with T-Mobile for a while using a spectrum of phones from the android camp, iPhone and currently a Lumia 925. I switched from my 5s to the 925 about a week ago and I love it. Looking at specs though jumping to a 925 from a 920 seems hardly worth it. I'd ride out the contract and see if you can find a newer Lumia ie 1020 unlocked and then switch. The 925 is awesome but I have a feeling later this year well be seing some newer options on T-Mobile.

920 to 925 worth the upgrade? The answer is No. 920 has 32GB compare to 925 16GB, and built-in wireless charging. 925 is only lighter, has AMOLED, and has one extra lens. 920 to 1020/929 is worth the upgrade.

The 925 sports the same hardware as the 920 (just a few minor differences like AMOLED instead of LCD and even only 16GB storage).
Got mine in Nov '13 and it's great but if I had a 920 I wouldn't bother "upgrading" to the 925 (especially if I still had to pay 300+$ for it).

If you manage to get your 920 unlocked by ATT stick with it and wait for new, better WP8 phones.
If you don't want to wait until new WP8 devices are announced, check out some Androids, like Sony Xperia Z1 (Z1s & Z1 compact coming soon), HTC One, Nexus 5, Moto X,...
But if you're fed up with ATT don't stay because of WP8. The devices are great but with a ****ty carrier the experience may suffer from a bitter aftertaste.

I agree with QuarkDream here..

I had a 920, but had to take it back for a faulty OIS, all pics were blurry, which made me make a poor choice of a 925.. Only 16GBs over 920 32GBs and from what ive seen the 6th lens of 925 doesnt make a lot of difference, if any at all. I shouldve just got them to order another 920 and stuck it for a week or so.

Dont get me wrong, the 925 is gorgeous.. but not for $300, believe me. Why not see out your contract and sell it on eBay.. you may pick up a nice 1020 bargin or wait for the 929.

If its Android your thinking of, again dont be lured by specs.. Galaxy S3s are still good phones.. or try an LG G2, they are reasonably priced.. its only Samsung who tend to over price.

Hope that helps
