928 with AT&T

I purchased the 928 from Verizon and it is unlocked as reported. I put in my AT&T sim card and it works, I can make calls and send/receive texts. I cannot get the data to work, I am assuming I need to change the APN settings.

I downloaded Nokia's Access Point and when I try to activate any of the AT&T profiles it takes me back to the settings screen and does not appear to actually activate the profile. The reason I believe this is because when I go back into the Access Point app it shows all of the profiles as "not active" when it should say "activated".

Has anyone had any luck with the following?

- AT&T Data with 928
- AT&T MMS with 928
- AT&T Visual Voicemail with 928

You won't be able to get it to work, the APN settings are locked down by Verizon and you can't change them (even Nokia Access Point doesn't work properly).

Try the fix for 920- mobile. Just with Verizon info.

i tried my AT&T sim but don't seem to be having any luck...

Do I need to add custom APNs?

All i get is one bar with an H next to it. never seen an H there before

The H is the HSPDA network. You can get calls and text to work, but mms is a no go and internet likely doesn't work on AT&T (I say likely because I couldn't get it working on mine, but T-Mobile actually worked). Verizon seemed to disable the ability to edit APNs, which I have since confirmed with Microsoft and Nokia
