950 xl still not receiving any update

Have had 950xl unlocked ordered direct from MS since 12/1 here in US.I have never received the 29 or the 36 update....have tried update feature on phone and says none available...am also enrolled in preview program and cannot get any update there either...So I have to dona hard reset or is their a fix coming....hate to have to start over now that phone is set up...also if I do a hard reset do I have to do that every time to get an update? Help please
