950 XL won't play email notification sounds

Not sure if anyone else has made a thread about this, but...

No matter what I've tried, my 950 XL will not play sounds when I get emails. I've turned on "Play Sounds" in the settings, I've tried toggling between different email notification sounds, and still nothing. I also seem to be having this problem with Facebook Messenger. But no issues with texts, or things such as reminders. Is anyone else having this problem?

I have this problem with twitter. The next time I switch the phone on, its reset to none.

Regarding Outlook, just checking that you've switched the notifications on in the Outlook settings as well as in the Notifications banner/sound/vibrate etc. in Settings. I think that's what you said.
