Aye, iris scanning is one hardware that Hello supports.
WMPoweruser has the same specs and a source for them.
If true, it's actually a device I'd have gone for.
But it'll be so many months too late.

Re: 940XL features leaked

Instead of metallic I would suggest a rubberize phone 📞 so if one drop it, it would not break but bounce.

I hope there will also be an option for 64 or 128 GB internal storage. Micro-SD or not, 32 GB maximum is quite weak for a so called high-end smartphone in late 2015.

Hell of an Idea :), but i guess complications will be with screen, It had to be able to cope out with the flexibility.

Re: 940XL features leaked

With streaming being the current big thing, 32GB onboard can be plenty.

I?m pretty sure i will not stream my Pictures, Videos and Songs which cover 90% of my storage. Micro SD it is then. I just hope the Card-Storage integrates well in Windows 10 Mobile.

I hope it's card free. The disadvantages of the interface just to add a bit of slow, unreliable storage are just too great.

Ehhhh... I'm kinda disappointed with this. The previous flagships (1520,1020, 920) were groundbreaking in terms of hardware. This is just a high end meh phone.

The iris scanner is (almost) a USP.
All in all, bit of a let down spec-wise if true. They'll be outclassed, outgunned and outdated by the time they release. Only top notch apps and services chucked in can save them. But they've nixed that idea already.

Not with 20mp pix and 1080p video. I do a lot out in the field and ain't going to suck up my data plan uploading media.

Nope. It needs an SD Card. Hard to believe it won't have one.

Re: 940XL features leaked

Well, given the product name it leaves us open for a 1530 or Surface Phone (not to start that up again). But I'm not sure if a 5.7" and 6" are both needed.

But the features and specs aren't bad, 8 cores, continuum, pen support, QHD, iris scanner. As long as it isn't AMOLED, I'd go for it.

Buying a quality card should take care of those problems. I view the SD card as kind of a cache anyways as everything I put there goes to onedrive too.

I don't need SDD speeds to play some music on my phone or store some photos. I enjoy the option, and frankly I've never had an SD card or any flash storage fail me. Not sure where the unreliable moniker comes from... unless you enjoy buying bargain bin crap that might give a monk a run for the money in terms of data read/write speeds.

Anyway, the rumored specs do point at a strong device with compelling features. Sadly nothing groundbreaking for the camera so far. Hopefully they'll include some nifty stuff that will surpass the G4 or Galaxy S6.
