Accessory Apps. Can we create one?

So it has been a few months developer preview of WP 8.1 Update 1 rolled out to developers. New option which was included in this update was support for accessory app which can enable other hardware to interact with Windows Phones.

I wish to know is there any update to documentation or APIs to leverage this capability? If APIs like this and lockscreens are not accessible to developers I don't find sense in providing in developer preview at first place!

You cannot develop such apps right now without special permission from Microsoft. And I doubt they will give it to anyone. If you have device, which required such app, you can contact Microsoft.

MSFT doesnt offer those apis ... I dont know why ... if they do productivity will improve
