Accidentally linked two contacts

I accidentally linked two contacts.
All the SMS messages from contact A are now under Contact B. Even after I ended the linking between the two Contacts.
Is there any way to get the SMS separate again? Messages from Contact A have an other Number, so it should be easy for Windows to separate them again.

The Update to .242 hasn't helped to sort things out. Still messages are under the wrong Contact.

I would try deleting both contacts and then add them back and see what happens
