Account sync

I had made an account in Outlook and synced my Gmail and Facebook with it. now in my lumia 920, i registered with the same microsoft account. So I didnt have to separately make a gmail account as my gmail got synced automatically. Now if i set the sync time of microsoft account to 30 min, will my gmail and facebook also sync every 30 minutes? coz I see they are not getting updated as soon as there is a notification.. Or do I need to make a separate google account and set it to sync everytime?
