I found this and it seemed some good advice on the problem:
VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE (igdkmd64.sys or nvlddmkm.sys) error is caused by a file called igdkmd64.sys ro nvlddmkm.sys, and this file is related to Intel integrated graphics, so this issue is probably caused by driver incompatibility with Windows 10.
Solution 1 – Disable Intel HD Graphics driver
1.Go to Device Manager and expand Display adapters section.
2.Locate Intel HD Graphics driver and right click it.
3.Choose Disable from the list and restart your computer.
Solution 2 – Roll back / reinstall default display driver
1.Press Windows key + R and type devmgmt.msc to start Device Manager.
2.Expand Display adapters section.
3.Find your display driver, right click it and choose Roll Back Driver.
4.Restart your computer.
If the problem still persists, repeat the steps, but when you right click your display driver instead of choosing Roll Back Driver, select Uninstall driver. Also make sure that you check Delete the driver software for this device. VIDEO_TDR_FALIURE
Solution 3-– Change the Intel graphics settings.
You should have Intel graphics settings in your system tray. Open it and change the following settings:
1.Under the 3D settings change the following: ◦Set Application Optimal Mode to Enable.
◦
- Set Multi-Sample Anti-Aliasing to Use Application Settings.
- ◦Set Conservative Morphological Anti-Aliasing to Turn Off.
- ◦Set General Settings to Balanced Mode
2.Under Video settings – Basic change these settings: ◦Standard Color Correction to Application Settings.
Input Range to Application Settings.
