After a hard reset will I still have all of my contacts in my phone?

I want to use the windows insider program to update to windows 10 mobile. Many of the posts that I've read say that you shouldn't use any previous information from "saves". I just want to know what I should expect to have after a hard reset to my phone. After saving all of my pics and videos to my computer It's really all of my contacts that I wonder about.

Any suggestions, information, or experiences...or links would be great.

Are you syncing your contacts to Outlook.com (or any other email provider, Gmail, iCloud, etc)?

As long as your contacts are backed up to your online account, whether be Outlook, Gmail, etc, once you sign onto your account after a hard reset, they all should be synced back onto your phone.

I have outlook, so if I ever do a hard reset, my connects get synced back onto my phone without an issue, all I have to do is sign on.

Yeah, the sync is a good thing. But I have my contacts on my SIM card, so they get saved eather way.

There's an app made my Microsoft named "contacts+message backup". It'll let you save your contacts and messages onto your microsd.

Please note that the app directly integrates with your system settings. And as such you won't find it in the app list. Just go to "Settings" and you'll find it down below.
