I've just connected my son's very old and noisy Xbox 360 to my tuner/amp using composite + optical. And connected to router with Ethernet. I am using Nokia Lumia 900.
First up I tried using smartglass on phone and on ipad. Connects fine but really cannot do anything without Xbox Gold membership other than navigate a few menus and change avatar. Pretty tough considering what I can do with atv. I finally figured out how to play my own music from Lumia to Xbox and through the sound system. The app Nokia Play To allows DLNA streaming of video, photos and music from the phone. I am now really enjoying it (except for the noisy Xbox). The streaming of picture is very slow and there doesn't appear to be a slideshow option.
I understand that the Lumia 920 can do more as a gaming remote.
