Back when Myspace was getting popular, I did my research and have stayed far away from those types of services...
Databases and database space of nothing but other peoples lives. It is crazy to think that a server database knows (or contains) just about as much as I do about my loved ones. I personally spend a lot of time on the PC/Phone/etc and don't even go near those sites or services, so I could not imagine how much time I would waste away on top of the already wasted. Know what I mean...
