Installed the Black update successfully on my Black Lumia 920!
PS: I already had installed GDR3 via the preview program.

Is your country in language+region settings same as the model ? I had set it to US being in India (to get additional bing services) and got same 80188309
Trying this now :

I was able to fix the issue on my phone Nokia 920 Vodafone Italy.
Workaround:
- reboot phone
- deleted temporary file from storage section in settings
- reboot phone again
- trigger installation
You should got the "preparing for install" phase stuck at 100% for about 5 minutes then you shoud receive the "ready to install update" message
Hope this help.
Tested on Nokia 920 Vodafone Italy

Hey, you did not face "Update was downloaded but could not be opened (80188309) " error??

Does it already had GDR 3 preview??? Or dev unlocked???

Yeh.. I've also tried 4-5 times to download but still getting the same error for my L920 in India... :unhappysweat:
Hope MS & Nokia fix it ASAP...

I wonder how this has been missed from the much tested release :| And that too at global level. Is that got something to do with the GDR 3 preview?? Wherever I read the update as a +ve, seems to be runnning the GDR3 preview.

I was happy to see this morning that the update is available in my NL920, but got no wifi here so I can't download it. Waiting for the Friday when I go home where is wifi. I hope that I get no errors while downloading... Oh, I'm a Finn, btw :--)

Me and my dad had the amber+ GDR2 on 820 and 920...both the phones got successfully to lumia black

Ok ! HJALP! I have AT&T branded 920, but with Rogers to French ROM mod! My update just happened, and BOOM! MT ACCESS POINTS ARE GONE EXCEPT AT&T! NO MMS OR INTERNET SHARING.. NO PICS! HJALP!

Hi update notice appeared yesterday and now updated to GDR 3 and Nokia Black on sim free UK 920 and 820,
very quick update about 15 minutes no problems.
