Already out of space

My Lumia 820 already running low of space when I download large maps. I have to delete some games and apps. 8GB is too low for a smartphone nowadays. But it should not be a problem had Microsoft/Nokia allowed maps to be installed on SD card.

It does, but I believe he was referring to storing media files. Are you in Europe or the US? Downloading maps for FL, GA and SC (for example) is maybe around 500MB. Do you just store all your maps, or do you manage them? I only keep maps for my home state. The rest I add or remove as needed.

How large are we talking about? From what I know, whole Europe will fit. It's about 4GB IIRC. You will have to live with it, cut some maps or switch to 920. Or delete some huge games.

I am going to the USA next month for business and leisure trip. Downloaded the maps of Washington DC and Florida. I plan to use offline map. Roaming is very expensive and it is one of the reasons why I use Nokia err Here Map.

So why not remove your Europe maps before your trip?
