Am I running the official Windows 10 mobile on my L640?

Hey guys I have a L640. I did a hard reset on my phone, which had the windows 10 preview. When I did the reset I noticed that it installed Windows 10 mobile. Hows this possiple? find a screenshot beloy....

this is still a preview version, as you said you had win 10 preview installed.


now something to enhance your knowledge, dear even after you hard reset you are still on win 10 preview only. microsoft hasnt released a public update yet. so relax.

Technically the version you are running is an official production build (10586.107), which is no longer preview software (it's available on all handsets that were released running W10M and not WP8.1).

However, that doesn't mean that you are running the software intended as an upgrade from WP8.1 > W10M. You received the software via the Windows Insider program.

Everybody running the current insider production\release build (10586.107) will have the same "Windows 10 Mobile" text on the about screen.

If you really want to roll back to the official software release for your 640, you'll have to use the WDRT to flash the device back to the release ROM image and OS version. Otherwise just doing a hard reset will only give you a fresh install of whatever the current version of software you have installed, even if it is the insider preview release.
