Amazon pre-order cost question

For those who have pre-ordered through Amazon, did you have to pay the full amount at time of pre-order?

Just trying to figure out if I need the full amount now, just spent about $1k on bike, so wife may not be too happy

Nope, you are charged when the item ships.

I take that goes for addons and games as well? Does it just charge $1 or something, just place it on hold?

I would imagine yes. And it doesn't charge you anything, I have preordered one and it just holds that item on your account until the ship date.

The $1 charge referenced you'll see as pending, but will never show up on your statement. Just an anti-fraud measure. Simply a placeholder to make sure your card is still active and in good standing.
