Microsoft lately is following apple slang which is less practicality and more good designs to attract most teens nowadays. which is very unfortunate as now practicality will be expensive and rare

Teens can't afford Apple or Surface computers.. Maybe their parents can but they can't...

Personally, I don't mind paying a premium for a high quality product..

Thank you for your reply. the problem is Microsoft fans made fun out of Apple when they introduced a product that has been in the market for while because of how late they are in technology and how that they create less practical products. Now, Microsoft is doing so which funny. I know that not all teens afford these computers but as you mentioned their parents can buy it to them and maybe I was rather mistaken to just mention teens, I meant people nowadays. Thank you

Apple's problem (with the 12" Macbook and the new Pro's) is that they only have USB C so until USB C become more widespread, you are stuck living the dongle life..

I do wish MS had put ONE USB C on the new machine for future proofing but to me that's not really a deal breaker.. Until businesses and schools make the swap, USB C will not be mainstream and that could take years..

HoloLens, surface pro/book, surface studio, mixed reality. Apple? Nah. That's actual innovation. They have merely taken a few small leafs from apples play book - mainly attractive precision design.

Stealing your competitors moats is always a good move, if you can pull it off. And MS certainly has, can't compare an imac with the surface studio. Even the MacBook looks bad next to surface laptop.

Apple really did two things right, when it comes down to it - they made technology seem approachable to ordinary people.

Not really easier to use, as apple users contest, or better, or faster - more just more "friendly" in their image.

And the second thing is they did right made their technology lust worthy/elite, by using premium manufacturing methods. That only really works when your technology is still in growth/newish, but for newish products still experiencing growth it works well.

Part of why I think the invoke is a good play. Smart home systems are new.

Since then everyone has been on that bandwagon of both "flashy" and "approachable". But it only works for certain audiences at certain times. Pretty soon it'll no longer work with phones for example.

Obviously Microsoft because the build quality of Microsoft has been so much better since the surface series. Also, Microsoft is more value for money. For example you'd buy a surface pro 4 rather than a MacBook air. Also, MacBook air is obsolete now.
