Anyone play? I have almost no Facebook friends that play. I haven't completed any dungeons and can't open any of the friendship gates.

Also, does connecting it with your Facebook save your progress at all?

I used to play. Then the game crashed and my 20 hours of Progress was gone, since, the FB account does not save your game.
Saves are stored locally on your phone, until ROVIO decides to update and make it possible to use the ROVIO account on Windows devices. As far as i know it is not supported for any of their games yet.

Once they make this update, I'm Game Again

This was not to turn you of the game, it is awesome! Just remember to shut it down using the back button, each time you're done playing!

I'm currently at level 14, but I decided to start all over on my wife's Kindle since it can log in to the Rovio account.

I'll play on both, but if I crash here I'll at least have the Kindle progress to fall back on. Though it's only level 4 so far.

How does the game compare to previous versions of Angry Birds? I would like to check this out, but I have a lot of mobile games on my radar right now.

Its not bad, just an RPG with the angry birds crew.

Im not impressed with the performance though. If I buff my crew the game gets really slow and laggy for some odd reason. The biggest offender is the white bird's healing-upon-getting-hit buff. By itself it slows the game down so much more than the other buffs by themselves.
I have a Lumia 930...2.2ghz processor and adreno330 gpu. There is NO WAY this game should run this poorly.
