Any Messenger app to text people?

Hey guys, I have a question.

I work for a college and students prefer texting. Which is great, but I don't want to give my personal cell # out to all my students.

Is there an app that I can text students' mobile numbers, through a different number? Kind of like using my google voice number and having an app that will just text. I don't need the call capability.

I'm not sure if this exists. Thanks.

text+ is one such app I remember using back in my iOS days and looks like its here on WP too.

Used them all, they come quite handy for those Craigslist communications, text now has been my to go app, very robust and reliable
