Any other 920 users considering going up to a 1520?

I now have a work iphone 5 as well as my 920 personal phone, I travel a good bit for work and have 3 kids. So my 920 is mostly used for internet cruising, e-mail, apps, games and rarely for calls anymore. It would also be very beneficial to have another device my kids could use for homework, road trips, etc. The more I think about it the more it makes sense to get a "phablet" and the 1520 would be a natural fit.

My kids have an Asus running full windows 8 and I've been using the 920 for over a year now so no big change there and the majority of my calls I get are while I'm driving and I have a really nice Bluetooth in my new Civic so I will not be making many calls with it held in my hand.

Thoughts?

if I were you I'd definitely switch to the nokia lumia 1520....I've seen how it works....and it's just awesome and has a 20MP camera....which is definitely better than the L920....so yeah go ahead and SWITCH!!!

No built in charging as in the wireless plate?
That's fine, I plug mine in while driving as I stream spotify often, and every other device in the house has to be plugged in at night anyway. Between my work phone and the wife and kids we have 2 4th gen touches, a 4s, and three 5's, I'll be fine plugging in my phone again.

I got my 1520 today and will be selling the 920. I still liked the L920 very very much but this is a really cool phone.
It feels like a real update. The others that have been released since the 920 have been a bit to similar. The only one that stood out imo is the 1020 with the camera but this has a new camera as well and the huge screen.

no built in charging like the 920....pass.
The international Lumia 1520 that I bought does have Wireless Charging.

Too big for me. I'll wait till Nokia make a new small Lumia. I used to love big phones, but even L925 is too big for me now.

If you can wait I'd suggest the 1820....that is if it's announced in February

Im really happy with my 920 so im waiting a long time before i switch to another, but it will definitely be Windows Phone!

Yes, but I've been hating AT&T, and since I've been waiting, I'll just wait for the WP8.1 devices with the Snapdragon 805 chips.

and the international Lumia 1520 you bought doesn't get LTE in the US so BFD.

I want to switch from 920 to 1520, but I am more than a little salty about the lack of QI support. I have 6 wireless charging plates (GF and I, 925 and 920) plus a JBL PowerUp. Until there is a QI solution that doesn't involve hardware hack, I can't make the jump.

I'm eligible for an early upgrade on the NEXT program so I'm probably going to go ahead and pull the trigger this next week on a new 1520, hope I don't regret it lol

Nah, the Lumia 1520 is too large for me... but the rest of specs is just awesome... just waiting the Lumia 1520v (L1520 mini version) to be true, i don't mind to use 4'3 inches screen again like the Lumia 900 i used to own.

Where did u get it?

Ive got a Lumia 925 which i am very happy with, but after seeing the screen on the 1520 and the fact the camera is better than on the 925 I am considering the 1520,mainly due to the screen size.

I'm not worried about the weight, this will be used more like a tablet that's occasionally used as a phone, and most of the calls will be over Bluetooth while the device is sitting in the car so I'm fine with it.
