Any plans for an updated Facebook app?

Are there plans for Microsoft to update the existing Windows phone Facebook app, to fix bugs and add current Fb capabilities, like inline comment threads?
Given how Microsoft are the ones who develop the WP Facebook and all, with Facebook bestowing it with the "official app" blessing.....

I think they would have to work with Facebook to do that, but I'm not sure.
