Anyone from UK Ordered from Carphonewarehouse ?

Hi I have Place the Order from Carphonewarehouse on 14th Nov when hey taking pre Order and it was showing shipping by 3rd December and now it showing 8th December. anyone got any confirmation Please????

When I preordered mine from Carphone Warehouse the delivery date was for the 8th and at one point before I ordered mine the shipping date was the 10th

I'm sitting here waiting to firm up on an order but will not commit until I know the item will be ready to ship, or collect in store. Not convinced that the number transfer will not be messed up. CPW were far from helpful in transferring the number for my son's iPhone and customer service has never been that hot. But there's very little alternative for the 950XL.

Hi, I ordered mine from expansys on Tuesday and it was delivered yesterday. Looks like they've ran out of stock but my point is it's available in the UK. Not sure what the problem is with CPW.

I also ordered on the 14th to be delivered today, all quiet now, and after waiting too days for a reply to the email they are saying they havent received the order yet.


Think they are being left in the dark by MS.

This is definitely the problem. I ordered a 950 on the 28th October. It said ships by the 3rd. I contacted them today as it hasn't shipped and they advised that they have been surprised by the volume of orders and don't have sufficient stock to fulfil any of them before 1-2 business days. I pressed them on this and they advised Tuesday is the most likely day, which is the 8th that CPW have been quoting.

Interestingly the Microsoft store shows them as being in stock for shipping today, so it seems they are prioritising new orders over pre-orders, which seems an odd thing to do, but seems to be in line with what people in Canada are experiencing as well. Pre-orders unshipped, new orders received much later fulfilled and delivered.

MS Store is shipping it's pre-orders now (I ordered mine back in October). I had my shipping confirmation a few minutes ago.

Carephone warehouse apparently dont have my order, despite the fact that I have an order number and order confirmation.

Spoke to them and they didnt understand, and tried to get me to re order.

Not sure what to do now, do I wait until the 8th?

Just spoke to a friend who works for CPW, and he said aiming for the 8th. They have been surprised by the take up considering it's not well advertised. He says biggest USP is the dock system. Ironic really as his store is within a curry's. Compatible monitors etc?? And yes, they are quite prominent in his little 'corner'. The beauty of CPW is all devices are unlocked! Hopefully get a deal on the iD network, runs off of 3 and half the price!
