anyone got gdr2 update from huawei?

I installed this update, made phone more reliable, the other storage is much better and i have internet sharing which is ace on this phone but as huawei make dongles it should be. However i had to do a hard reset to get the internet sharing working. I never heard that huawei had stopped windows phone support they just released the W2? Shame cos the price and what you get it fantastic

Did you receive the update OTA?
If if so, in wich country do you live?

I'd being trying tether-x to get tethering on my O2 W1 ( in the UK ) but its a bit of a pain. As an alternative, didn't fancy trying to reflash the rom ( even if I could have followed the postings on this ) in case I bricked it.

The firmware ( 5614) updated today OTA - after several attempts to get it to update over the past week.

Like you, I had to do a factory reset to get the internet sharing to show in the settings menu.

Will now unlock it and and swap over to my usual T mobile sim.

No!!!
Heard almost everyone is getting it except us. I have an unbranded huawei aswell.
I got my phone in July 2013 and Google (Gmail, calendar) is working perfectly though!
Is the update available now, cause it doesn't show up via OTA

I guess the Netherlands has to wait a while for the GDR2 update. I have an unlocked Huawei Ascend W1 and my firmware is: 1030.5612.00000.05610

(By the way, I also have a HTC 8X with GDR 2, but I don't have Data Sense. I guess it's region locked )

I'm from Italy, and... nothing.. I wrote a lot of time on the official Huawei twitter page, and they didn't reply me.. This is strange, and sad, because we are at the end of September and this update was initially expected for July and all the other phone are reciving the update..
