Anyone had a chance to use the new i7 128gb?

I'm looking at getting a surface and the new i7 with 8gb of ram and 128gb HDD is looking appealing to me. Thing is, I'd like to use it for gaming at times, but I've heard that the i7 really gets throttled down when running graphics heavy tasks.

These complaints are all from 2014 reviews, so I was wondering if anybody has tried the new model and can tell me if anything has changed.

I don't see why this new loadout would be any different than the other i7's.

If ' gaming ' means lots of calculation then you will be fine (chess). If graphics come into it, well... Why would you buy it then? Or do you buy also a truck and ask if you can also race with it? Of course you can 'race' with it....
