Their deals are mainly on phones not plans the plans are the exact same as what the carrier has so if you go into an ATT store to renew your contract and they say that would force you off of your data plan then Amazon is going to say the same thing. The benefit of purchasing through them is they offer a greater discount on new (subsidized) devices. The only way to keep your (I'm assuming) grandfathered plan is to buy devices unsubsidized.Has anyone bought a phone from Amazon Wireless and renewed their contract through them? I am looking at getting me and my wife each a Focus but am not looking to lose our unlimited data we have on our lines currently. Advice?

Be careful getting a phone elsewhere other than the carrier. Some places have a clause in there where you have to pay them money if you cancel you contract. So not only are you giving the arrier 350, you're giving Amazon money too. If you don't plan on cancelling then I wouldn't worry about it...
