are all Surface books as unreliable as mine?

My answer is No :D
After weeks of using and after trips with it, the surface book serves me perfectly well. I captured many photos and process it with the surface on the way without any error.
Now I have kinda perfect trip kit with me whenever I need.

You can post all the beautiful pictures that you want, but that doesn't change that the Surface Book is still a terrible, poor quality controlled product. A large majority of Surface Book owners have had tons of issues even after applying all the driver and software "fixes" (myself included). I feel sorry for anyone who is OK being a ongoing beta tester for Microsoft. The Surface Book was not and is not ready for release. (I'm glad yours is working great though, but man do I feel bad for folks stuck with a $2,000+ bug ridden device)

Well :D I just answered the question of OP "are all surface book as unreliable as mine?". He asked and I answered, that's all :)
Also, as I said, with all the current issues on forums, I considered myself as a lucky one to have an issue free surface book, and I feel sorry for you guys who are still suffering from issues and bugs.

But well, the fact is there are many people with bugged surface book, but there're also many people with bug free surface book. And as usual, normal owners with bug free devices won't make it as loud as bugged owners on forums.

P.S: thanks for compliment :D

I was having issues when I first got my SB on January 29. The Surface Dock was barely working (USB devices connected to it would constantly drop, video would cut out, etc), the Windows Store would not allow me to download or install anything, and the dGPU would suddenly not be recognized, requiring a reboot. This was even after going through Windows Update and installing all the firmware updates.

Ultimately, the fact that my Windows Store was broken and could not be fixed drove me to do a refresh of Windows 10. By "refresh" I mean basically a reinstall of the OS without removing any of my personal files (this can be done under Settings->Update & Security->Recovery) . Of course, all my programs would need to be reinstalled, but my local files would not be removed.

Anyway, things improved dramatically after the refresh. Now it looks as though the dock is way more stable, my Windows Store is working again, and my Nvidia dGPU doesn't disappear anymore. Sure, I had to take the time to reinstall everything again, but that's a small price to pay for a stable laptop.

So I guess my advice to anyone having issues is to try a refresh of Windows 10. You'll have to re-download some firmware updates afterwards, and reinstall your programs, but for me, it worked beautifully.

My surface book has been much better lately but it's far from great. I'm still not completely convinced keeping it was a smart idea. Sad to say I'm not completely satisfied with my very expensive purchase.

I have to agree. For the amount paid for this device, I am a dissatisfied customer.
