Are screen protectors still needed even with the latest Gorilla Glass?

People still use screen protectors? Honest question. I thought Gorilla is strong enough where with a bit of care we don't have to worry about scratches. I like my 1520 naked and clean looking. I hated screen protectors when I used them way back as they would get dirty on edges plus there was always a small bubble somewhere no matter how hard I tried to get rid of them.

Exactly. Call me OCD but I always separate items when I carry them everywhere. Right pocket for my phone and some small folded documents/bills/receipts.. and left is for keys, some spare changes and occasionally my 3yo's milk bottle LOL :winktongue:

Despite everything I said, I do the same thing. My phone is always in a pocket by itself. I make it a point to not even have pocket change in my right front pocket, which is my phone pocket. :)

Gorilla glass is scratch resistant but it will still crack if dropped. I always use tempered glass screen protectors. No bubbles, crystal clear,no touch issues. Better safe than sorry.

You guys need to check out the new translucent glass products like Zagg's InvisibleShield Glass. I have it for my iPhone 6 Plus. It is absolutely remarkable. Zero touch sensitivity loss to me, zero optical issues (it's glass) and zero extra finger drag that I can detect. And, it seems to clean way easier and better than the iPhone screen by itself. I really love this product and have generally not used screen protectors before but with products as good as this, I just may change that going forward. I like knowing that my keys, coins, etc. can no longer scratch my screen.

Just ordered a similar product from a Canadian company (InSkin) for my Lumia 1520 which is on the way. Can't wait to compare it to the InvisibleShield Glass. If it's even in the same ballpark, I'll be very happy.
