Are there any benefits if I use Hotmail on my Lumia rather than my GMail account?

How about the "heart bleed" bug that's being talked about? I've seen some lists that indicate gmail may be affected?

Either way, my outlook email seems to download faster and even attachments open faster than gmail.

Gmail has been patched for Heartbleed. Outlook wasn't affected because Microsoft doesn't use OpenSSL.
