I've just got a new leather flip cover for my 1320. So i really like the double tap function to wake up phone without pressing any hard key. But nokia has said that this function will reduce the battery life in the Setting section. So do you use the double tap and what will actually happen with our phone after a long time of using?

A friend of mine is running gdr3 preview with amber update on his 920 and the battery hit from double tap to wake is noticeable, but with the considerably larger power source in the 1320 I don't imagine it would make much of a dent...

The only thing what happends is that it uses energy
Nothing more nothing less.
Your screen wil stay active with doubletabb and thats why the extra drain.

Your battery life will be 20 minutes shorter. At most.
It also turns off when you have it in the pocket/wallet case (only proximity sensor is still active then, but that can't eat much battery)

Turn it on, it's an awesome feature, don't worry about the battery drain.
