Are there any WP8 devices with hardware media controls?

I use my phone a lot for the media player, and it always annoyed me that there was no way to pause or skip song without powering on the phone or using the clunky earbud volume buttons. My old blackberry had play/pause, skip and rewind buttons right on the top of the phone, are there any WP8s with something similar?

Nope, plenty of Bluetooth devices though. Most Androids and no iPhones have what you speak of any more either.

Dont they have options like double tapping a button might skip a song? Or at least Android API allows for configuring it that way?

As far as I know, no. You want the three buttons on the bottom to be more contextual. Would be cool if they were screens.
