I have a Lumia 820. Have had it since April 2013. It still suits me VERY well. I've experienced no problems at all and it is still smooth and zippy like the first day I received it. Currently, I've got no plans to replace it. I'm in no rush to "upgrade." I'll wait until Windows 10 has been released. I usually wait a few months after a device has been released before I buy one. As things are going now, this won't be until very late 2015 or early 2016. This seems like a far way off, but I'm extremely happy with my "old" Lumia 820.

I have an HTC 8X from November 2012, still does the job well but recently started having random reboots and sim card disconnecting problems. However still gonna hold on to it until there's a new Lumia flagship (hopefully soon).

I'm back to my 920...

1520 has a cracked screen... needs fixing... had bought an 830, but after using it a few days, decided to return it in favor of fixing the 1520 in the near future... returned the 830 because it had a blue-ish tint on the screen and didn't seem like an upgrade over my old 920.

I got a Lumia 822 in January 2013 and I still love it. I like the size and the performance is great. And just got the 8.1 Denim update. Good news / bad news for Verizon. The bad news is I have no need to upgrade. The good news is that I'll stay with Verizon.

Just switched carriers from Verizon to Tmo, and couldn't take the 822's with us. My teenagers still use their 822 for everything but text and called around the house, in fact they will take it out to take pictures vs. Their 521. They are getting new phone in a few days, L925's from Santa. Great devices that are standing up to time.

I would, but a somehow wonky USB cable I borrowed from a friend to charge my phone messed up the charging port. Other than that the phone is pristine and I would still use it. I even got a wireless charger to try to bypass the problem, but it only helps partially, it's kinda problematic to not be able to move data with a cable :/

I still sometimes take my 920 out of the drawer and just wow at how amazing the design is and how it feels in hand. I really like my 930 too, but secretly I kinda wish my 920 never broke :p

First gen WP8 Devices are Lumia 920, 820, 620, HTC 8X, 8S and Samsung ATIV S.

Do you own any of these devices?

If yes, are you going to buy a new device?

Are you happy with your 2 year old mobile?

Write down, I want to learn!

I have a 1.75 year old Lumia 920 that is just as good as the day I got it. It's still better than most phones on the market in any OS, and with no Lumia 1030 in sight to tempt me, I'm not thinking of getting rid of it anytime soon.

Nokia Lumia 520 all the way baby! Still fresh still looks fab I have ut now over a year looks like I just took it out the box. Best way to preserve your phone
1 Buy a cover for it (a leather flip case) protect against scratches
2 Keep it updated
3 Use battery saver, close any apps or don't allow certain apps to run in background, the only app really that should run should be Onedrive ie so that your photos, media and messages can be saved
4 Never use the charger long term, only use it to charge the battery once charged disconnect from the phone. Always charge the phone from empty never half as this wears the battery. But if you need to replace the battery buy online only costs a few dollars, euros, sterling, yen etc
5 Keep it out of direct sunlight, heat and moisture.

Sent using my Nokia Lumia 520 via the Windows central app

I was on a 920 until I just bought a Tmo 635 on amazon for $68 like 10 minutes ago. My 920 was perfectly fine and I would have kept using it until W10 had I not dropped it and cracked half the screen. It was still functional - still IS functional - but since the drop it started overheating more and the battery was also going a bit crazy. Today's deal is pretty great for TMo users, so I went ahead and got it. This should keep me covered until W10 phones come out.

Happy chugging with my 820. Thought I will move to 830, but for the fact that it has SD400 and not SD800 killed the plan. Let MS push out a phone with SD800+ with MicroSD and I will jump. Until then happy with 820. MS, are you seeing this ? *HINT*

820 since November 2012. SD card is essential for me and nothing else decent has it. Was very excited about 830 - until it came out, then was pretty underwhelmed. There is nothing a new WP phone can do for me that I can't do on my 820. Battery life is poor but I have a backup battery. I'll keep my money til WP10 and then will see what's on offer.
