AT&T Ambushed me to get the Lumia 900

Really? I never heard of such a thing. Sounds like robbery to me.

It is robbery, and it's been that way for while, at least since the 90's that I know of, when I sold phones at the Goodguys. It's not limited to Cali and cellphones either. Other things like airline tickets sold at discounted rates can be taxed at full retail.

Sorry you feel that way but you still have a 30 day window to exchange if you want. I've wanted a quality Nokia handset (with an OS I could stand) for YEARS now so I'm nerdy satisfied

My girlfriend got a Titan II from the Smoked By Windows Phone deal (quite a surprise when they brought it out instead of the Titan I) . My roommate has the cyan Lumia 900. After playing with both phones, a few things are pretty clear to me:

-The Titan II has a much better camera. Whether you think 16MP is unnecessary or not, it takes really nice pictures with a high level of detail.

-The Lumia 900 has the better screen. 4.3" really is the sweet spot and the tiles don't looked as "stretched." Fantastic color and vibrancy compared to the Titan II.

-I love the design/style of the Lumia 900, but I think the Titan II feels much better in hand. The back is almost rubbery (a lot different than the Titan I) and gives a better grip/feel.

-Both phones are quick. Didn't notice any difference loading apps. Playing games is a bit easier on the Titan II from a "control" standpoint, but the colors look nicer on the Lumia 900.

A few other notes:

-It sometimes feels like there's a slight delay when you first begin typing on the keyboard of the Titan II. Not sure why. Haven't really messed with the Lumia 900 keyboard very much to notice.

-"Lagging" scroll speed of the Lumia 900 is greatly exaggerated.

-Nokia Drive is pretty awesome according to my roommate. Nokia ESPN is meh. Still a better suite of apps than HTC offers.

My personal device is a Trophy since I'm with VZW and I can say that I would love to have either of these devices. Unrelated, but my other roommate scored a Trophy from SBWP as did a coworker. Roommate loves the Trophy compared to his Droid Incredible, he'll probably be buying the Apollo WP for VZW if it ever comes out. The coworker seems to like his device coming from a Blackberry Tour, but still has some issues figuring out how to use it. Guess it's a big adjustment.

My Titan's call quality and antennae strength is pretty atrocious. I don't know if they fixed it with the Titan II.

They "fixed" the issue by changing the back covering from aluminum to plastic.

ATT reps in terms of listening to what customers want is terrible. Recommended a friend to consider the Lumia. She was told by ATT reps that Windows phones suck and tried to upsell her on the iPhone for 340. I've heard reports and stories.of similar experiences as well. If it sucks, then why is ATT spending so much to advertise the phone?

Thank god I live in Wa, my tax was $9.90 or something like that. I actually feel that if there was any other manufacture that supports windows phone. Remember they were the last windows mobile device maker and they have made more models than anyone else (Mozart, hd7, trophy, hd7s, radar, titan, titan 2) honestly I by they are pissed by Nokia. Microsoft should have signed an exclusive deal with HTC as well as Nokia. HTc was the 2nd manufacture that could make changes to the OS on winmo, (palm was the first) why wasn't the same deal signed with HTC again. HTC sense was way ahead of its time, now outdated I am pretty sure they still have great minds there

Why is it an ambush they ate promoting this phone so I would expect that. Now the lumia is better than the titan II just my thoughts the only thing it holds over Nokia at this time is the camera.

More than anything I'm surprised they tried to sell you a less expensive phone - how's that in their best interests?
