I think it's supposed to fix some of the auto brightness issues along with the "other" storage problems some people are having. The Nokia release said the normal "performance and stability tweaks" but those are usually harder to spot. In another thread some people were stating that the was an improvement to battery life with the new update too.

Takes about 30 minutes to install. Make sure your phone is plugged in.

This is why I didn't go with Verizon or Android again. The same goes for HTC. The updates were too infrequent and meaningless.

So far I have noticed that the vibration is much weaker now. It is not as harsh and seems smoother. I also was having an issue prior to this update where when I was on 4g the indicator would appear and disappear, although I would not lose connectivity. The 4g symbol show up and does not disappear anymore. The storage checker is a nice addition and allows you to see the size of each app and delete temp files. Those are all the things that jump out at me so far.

Anyone that has installed the update, and was having the proximity sensor issue with the screen going black and having trouble turning the screen back on during calls able to test yet to see if this issue was resolved? I read some comments saying it was in notes from nokia but none where people tested it and had the problem but now they don't. thanks!

20 minutes end to end for me, I love that they tuned the vibration down.....no more rattles, great job Nokia!

Unlocked global devices will likely be getting it very soon as well like Portico I would think.
This whole carrier thing is stupidI have a free and unlocked phone. Why can't I just get the latest updates?

Rebooting the phone now brings up the Nokia screen first, and then the ATT screen.

Yes! it's not going black anymore, it seems ok now, hope it doesnt happen again, that was very very annoying.

I can only hope. All I know is that my phone got Portico 3 months after it started rollig out so I have pretty much given up on being up to date with my phone!

:/Anybody else getting a SIM error message? It says I don't have a SIM card in the phone although I do. Restarted the phone but that didn't help.
Edit: Had to do a soft reset. Now it detects the SIM card.

After clearing out my temp files, my Other still sits at 2.56GB...
Seems odd that Phone Storage and Storage Check have different data amounts for the same category.
