What did the text say exactly? The past couple of days they seem to be also text advertising upgrading your phone to a new one for those people who have been stuck on a 2 year contract they are letting people switch to the AT&T 'Next' plan where you make monthly payments but pay full price on a new phone.

Interesting. I didn't receive one, but I think I may have opted out of those type of messages. Maybe it was meant for 925 and 1020 users and they sent it to some 920 users in error.

finally got it(BLACK UPDATE) by flashing straight to the eu French 821 rom. Was having all kinds of problems getting a complete copy of a pre portico Rogers rom to start the flash process. NCS kept saying the local file was incomplete or corrupted and I was getting the "FFU error" every time I tried to flash back to the Rogers PrePortico before going to one of the International RM-821's. So I tried what someone had said they had success doing on one of my earlier threads ...flashing straight from the GDR3 Dev Rom to the 059Q8C2 French RM-821. Worked with no problem and came already loaded with the Black Update. Persistence pays Now I have the unbranded Int version. Tired of bending over for ATT. I have supported the WP platform since they started, but all ATT is interested in doing is selling you a new phone, either by holding out on updates or dangling some bullsh##t "ATT Next" program in front of you that is quite simply exhorbitant pricing on a phone leasing program
