Audio issues after update 7.8

Ever since I updated my lumia to 7.8 a few days ago, my phone will work fine, but suddenly stop producing any sound no matter how high the volume. I'll try playing a video, and there's no sound. Same for when I try playing music, or when I receive a call or text, no sound from my ringtone. Everytime it happens I have to turn my phone off, and turn it back on, and that seems to temporarily fix the problem, but then it'll happen again. I've already restored my phone, to the way it was before the updates, and reinstalled the updates, but later the sound disappeared. Has anyone else experienced this? I haven't tried a hard reset yet, I was really hoping to avoid trying that.

That's really strange. I'm running the latest 7.8 same version you have, and I have not experienced any sound problems.

Ya it's really odd. I've just reached out to windows phone and nokia support on twitter. I don't understand what could be causing it. All the updates go through successfully. I even did a hard reset, and that still didn't work. The only thing I can think of is maybe it's a hardware issue, that possibly happened to begin messing up around the time I updated, I don't know. I'm in the process of restoring my phone to OS 7.5 again.

I am having the same issue as you are. If I get a call or make a call i can't hear the person or the phone ring. All teh volume are up 10/10 and 30/30, but still no audio. I try to play music and its the same thing, even for my alarm it does not make any sound at all. I will power off and on but this only works for a few minutes then is back to the same issue.

CAN SOMEONE FROM WINDOWS MOBILE OR NOKIA GIVE A RESPONSE PLEASE... THIS IS A VERY ANNOYING ISSUE AND WE HAVE PAID AND TRUSTED YOU TO PROVIDE US WITH A WORKING AND FUNCTIONAL PRODUCT. WHAT GIVES.

Please don't tell me about hard rest, use head phones etc, been there and done that many times. STILL NO AUDIO...

I have the same issue and hard rest etc does not work, is like the phone does not know when to use the audio etc. and its annoying...

I have been experiencing the same issues. I have no audio at all, not even the alarm is working. Has anybody found a solution to this problem?

I think it's related to a youtube app, if you have any installed. I had that problem on my htc Mozart running wp7.8 and the problem disappeared after uninstalling the app (I think it's metrotube, not sure).
